Every lookup fires twelve queries at Google's public autocomplete endpoint in parallel: the seed keyword on its own, the seed prefixed with how, what, why, and best, the seed followed by “vs”, and the seed followed by each letter a through f. Each query returns up to ten completions; duplicates and the seed itself are removed, and what remains is grouped by the query that produced it. Where do these suggestions come from?

The results are deduplicated and grouped by which query produced them.
Are these search volumes?
No. Autocomplete returns phrases, not numbers. Google orders its suggestions by its own relevance and popularity model, so the top of each list tends to be more searched than the bottom, but nothing here tells you how many searches a phrase gets per month. For volume you need Search Console data for your own site or a paid keyword database — this tool is for discovering phrasing and intent, not sizing demand.
Why do the suggestions differ from what I see in my own Google search box?
Your own search box is personalised by your history, location, language, and signed-in account. This tool sends anonymous requests with a neutral English interface language and only the country you pick, so it shows the un-personalised baseline — usually a better picture of what a new visitor would see.
What does the country selector change?
It sets the market Google localises suggestions for. The same seed can surface different products, spellings, and questions in the United States, the United Kingdom, or India, so pick the country your page actually targets. The interface language stays English in all cases.
Why did I get a rate-limit error?
Google's autocomplete endpoint throttles by IP address, and this tool sends twelve requests per lookup. If several people are using it at the same moment — or you run many seeds back to back — Google can answer with HTTP 429 for a short while. Wait a minute and try again; nothing is broken on your end.
